12-Day Special China Tour

Day 1 Arrive in Shanghai (no meals)
Meet your guide at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day is on your own arrangement.

Day 2 Shanghai (B, L)
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Jade Buddha Temple at a.m.. Proceed to visit the Yu Garden and the Yuyuan Market at p.m.. After dinner, enjoy the wonderful Chinese acrobatics show.

Day 3 Shanghai (B)
After breakfast, you are escorted to the Expo site to make a fullday exploration on your own. Be driven back to the hotel.

Note: Standard day ticket holders can enter the Expo area once on any day except for peak days. (Standard day: from May 1 to Oct 31, 2010, excluding May 1 to 3, October 1 to 7 and October 25 to 31).

Day 4 Shanghai / Huangshan (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will walk down the Bund along the Huangpu River and visit Nanjing Lu, and then get a bird's eye view of Shanghai from the Jinmao Tower. Later on, drive to the airport for your flight to Huangshan. Meet your Huangshan guide and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5 Mt. Huangshan (B, L)
Drive to Mt. Huangshan and take a cable car up to the summit of the mountain at Yun Gu Station. Visit the North Sea Scenery, the highlights here include the Start-to-believe Peak, Lion Peak, Bright Summit Peak and the Rock That Flew from Afar. If weather permits, you will watch the spectacular sunset. Stay overnight in the mountain.

Day 6 Mt. Huangshan / Shanghai (B, L)
Get up in the early morning to catch the beautiful sunrise. After breakfast, take cable car down the mountain and transfer to Yixian County to visit the Hongcun and Xidi villages. Drive back to Huangshan to visit the Tunxi Old Street. Transfer to the airport for your return fight to Shanghai. Be met and transfered to the hotel.

Day 7 Shanghai/Guilin (B)
Be free until you are escorted to the airport for the flight to Guilin. Be met and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 8 Li River Cruise/Yangshuo (B, L)
Be picked up to enjoy a downstream cruise (3.5-5hrs) on the Li River. Disembark in Yangshuo and visit the West Street. After dinner, enjoy a fantastic ethnic show -Impression Liu Sanjie.

Day 9 Yangshuo (B, L, D)
Morning enjoy a countryside biking tour and then raft down the Yulong River. Ride back to yangshuo, your guide and cooking teacher will lead you to a local market to buy meat and vegetables. In the cooking school, you will have a cooking course to learn how to cook Chinese food (for your dinner).

Day 10 Yangshuo/Guilin/Longsheng (B, L)
Drive back to Guilin to visit the Reed Flute Cave. After lunch, visit Folded Brocade Hill and Elephant Trunk Hill and then transfer to Longsheng (89km) and stay overnight in Ping'an Village.

Note: For your dinner in Ping'an, the bamboo rice you are highly recommended to taste as it is very delicious. The food is mixed with some beans, peanut or vegatables and baked in a Bamboo Tube. Nearly all the family restaurants serve this special food.

Day 11 Hiking in Longsheng/Guilin (B, L)
Today, we will enjoy a hiking (about 4-5hrs) from Ping'an to Dazhai. On the way we will pass several Yao people's villages and see many breathtaking views of the terraced rice fields. Drive back to Guilin from Dazhai.

Note: If you don't like hiking from Ping'an to Dazhai, we can adjust the itinerary. We will drive from Ping'an to Dazhai and some other ethnic villages.

Day12 Guilin/ Departure (B)
Be free until you are escorted to the airport for the flight to your next destination.

· If the traveler number is odd (such as 3, 5, 7...), the odd number person who stays in one single room has to pay the single room supplement. Since the hotel is on the double occupancy.
