17-Day Giant Panda Focus

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing (no meals)

Upon you arrive at the Beijing international airport, our local guide will meet you with your name sign (with CFT on) and escort you to the hotel. Then the guide confirms your Beijing itinerary and recommends you some excellent restaurants near the hotel. The rest of the day is your free time.

Day 2 Beijing (B, L)

Have a full day sightseeing on the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and Temple of Heaven. The evening is at your own arrangement (You can take this opportunity to experience Beijing's nightlife or visit Beijing's bars or cafes).

Day 3 Beijing (B)

After breakfast, you will be picked up to the Simatai section of Great Wall to take a three-hour challenging and exciting hike along the Wall (Eat a simple lunch on the wall). After hiking with the guide, you will come back to the hotel in Beijing downtown by special car.

Day 4 Beijing/Xi'an (B, D)

Today, you will be arranged to visit the old Beijing lanes (Hutong) by rickshaw. In the afternoon, be driven to the airport for flight to Xi'an. Upon your arrival at the Xianyang International Airport, be met and escorted to your hotel. After enjoying the dumpling Dinner at the Defachang Restaurant, you are picked up to enjoy the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show at Shaanxi Song & Dance Theatre.

Day 5 Xian (B, L)

Highlights Today: Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum; Big Wild Goose Pagoda; Ancient City Wall, Bell Tower(Highlights Details)

A full day visits to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Ancient City Wall and Bell Tower. After finishing the sightseeing, you will be accompanied to the airport to transfer to Chengdu. When reach the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, you are met by the guide and escorted to your hotel.

Day 6 Chengdu (B, L)

After breakfast you will visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base and Du Fu's Thatched Roof Cottage. Finally, visit Wenshu Temple, then you are given some time to visit its tea house to enjoy tea and experience the special atmosphere of Chengdu. In the evening, enjoy the famous Sichuan food at a famous local restaurant.

Day 7 Chengdu/Lijiang (B, L)

After breakfast, visit the Qingyang Palace. The afternoon time is your free time to explore Chendu City. We suggest visiting the famous Qintai Road and its nearby beautiful parks (all are free) prior to take night flight to Lijiang. Upon your arrival at Lijiang City Airport, your guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.

Day 8 Lijiang (B, L)

This morning you will take the special car to the Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge then descend over 400 steps down to the river bed to see the very rock that frequently mentioned in ancient legends and the roaring awesome Jingsha River. After that, you will hike about 6 hours to reach the Half-Way Guest House. During the walking tour, you will hike between the grand snow-clad Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (5596m) and Haba Snow Mountain (5396m), you will admire the grandness of the Tiger Leaping Gorge, and know that why this section has captured thousands upon thousands of hikers for centuries.

Day 9 Lijiang (B, L)

Spend 5 hours to go on your walking tour along the High Trail from Half-Way Guesthouse. Along the way you will pass the middle section of the Tiger Leaping Gorge and the Stairs of Heaven until you reach the Hetaoyuan (Walnut Grove). Lodge in the No. 1 Woody's House (guesthouse).

Day 10 Lijiang (B, L)

Go on your hiking from Hetaoyuan (Walnut Grove) to Daju Village (about 6 hours). First you walk along the Yangtze River on the main road then on the small trail down on the bank of the river, and then ferry across the river to the Daju Village. After that, hiking up a small trail to the parking lot to take your special car back to Lijiang (about 87km).

Day 11 Lijiang (B, L)

Take an excursion to the Lion Hill in the Ancient Town of Lijiang, the Black Dragon Pool Park, and Museum of Naxi Dongba Culture inside the park. The afternoon time is your free time to explore the ancient town.

Day 12 Lijiang/Kunming (B, L)

Transfer via domestic flight

After breakfast you will be escorted to the Lijiang Airport for the morning flight to Kunming. Upon you reach at the Kunming Wujiaba Airport, you are met and transfer to the hotel then visit the Qiongzhu Temple, and the Flowers and Birds Market.

Day 13 Kunming (B, L)

Have a full day excursion to see the Yunnan Stone Forest Park.

Day 14 Kunming/Guilin (B, L)

You will have enough time to have a rest before you are assisted to transfer to Guiling by the afternoon flight (only afternoon flight between the two cities). Be met in Guilin Liangjiang International Airport and escorted to the hotel then your guide will recommend you some famous restaurants for you.

Day 15 Guiling/Longsheng (B, L)

Today you will be driven about 2hrs to the Longsheng County to enjoy the world beater-- terraced fields of Longji and experience the ethnic area's flavor. Lunch at Longsheng and be driven back to Guilin at late afternoon.

Day 16 Guilin/Yangshuo

After breakfast you will be picked up to the Zhujiang Pier to have Li River Cruise down to Yangshuo. Your lunch will be served on board. After checking in the hotel, you will explore the spectacular karst countryside along Jima Road by bike or small electric tour bus (the choice is up to you). Be back to Guilin by bus.

Day 17 Yangshuo/Guilin/Departure (B, L)

Be Driven back to Guilin (1.5 hrs) to visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill, then lunch at a famous restaurant specializes in local cuisine and then go on to visit the fabulous Reed Flute Cave. After finishing the sightseeing, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to next destination.

·Hotel Accomodation-the hotel accommodation is based on two persons sharing one twin room with private facilities.
·All transportation, transfers and tours with private guide and car or van in each destination.

·The hotel, guide and transfer are all based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels alone, he or she must pay for the other person. This additional charge is called single supplement.

· If the traveler number is odd (such as 3, 5, 7...), the odd number person who stays in one single room has to pay the single room supplement. Since the hotel is on the double occupancy.
