Day 1 Arrival/Tunxi
Be met at the Tunxi Airport (aka Huangshan Airport) by our guide and be escorted to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 Mt. Huangshan (B, L, D)
Drive 80 kilometers (1.5 hour-drive) to Huangshan Scenic Area then take cable car up to the mountain from Yungu station. After check-in and lunch, you will view Brush Pen Peak, Lion Peak, and West Sea Grand Canyon. If the weather is fine you will enjoy the sunset glow at the Cloud Dispelling Pavilion. Stay overnight at the summit.
Day 3 Mt. Huangshan/ She County/Tunxi (B, L, D)
Get up early to watch the sun come up from the sea of clouds. After breakfast, visit the Begin-to-Believe Peak. Take cable car down the mountain and proceed to She County en-route visiting the Tangyue Stone Arches-- Known as the Town of Arch, is a must for visitors to experience some fine examples of residential architecture and memorial arches from Ming and Qing dynasties. Arch is called Paifang or Pailou in China, usually made of wood, bricks, or stone, as memorial and decoration. In Tangyue Village, She County, there are thousands of arches scattered around. It is the best place to explore the social culture in China's feudal society.
Drive back to the city of Huangshan (Tunxi).
Day 4 (B, L) Tunxi/Departure
After breakfast, visit the Tunxi Ancient Street and the Ink Stone Factory.
Tunxi Acient Street: located in the center of the old city of Tunxi, there are hundreds of old but well preserved rows of shops, evoking a bygone era in buildings that are simple and elegant.
Ink Stone Factory: ink stone is the important part of Four Treasures of the Study in China. In the factory you will see the workers how to make it.
