Tour Overview
A unique ethnic discovery trip! From Guizhou to Guangxi, we will explore many traditional ethnic villages to learn the interesting facts about their culture, custom and buildings. On this trip, we will visit the mysterious village where the movie Lala's Gun was once being shot at.

Day 1 Arrive in Guiyang (no meals)
Meet your local guide and driver at the airport and then transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is on your own arrangement. Hotel: Ramada Plaza Hotel (4-star)

Day 2 Guiyang /Anshun (B, L, D)
In the morning drive to Anshun to visit Tianlong Tunpu – a small stone town has more than 600 years of history. It was once the military outpost in the Ming dynasty. The locals there still keep many traditions of the Ming dynasty even their costumes. In the town, you will watch the open-air Ground Opera (Dixi) performance. Proceed  to a Bouyei Stone village (Shitouzhai or Stone Stockade Village) to see the stonework and batik craft. Hotel: Grand Waterfall Hotel (4-star)

Day3 Anshun/Liuzhi (B, L, D)
Drive to visit Xinyao and visit Four Seal Miao Village, then to Suoga to visit Long-Horn Miao. Overnight at Liuzhi. Golden Dragon Hotel (best available)

Day 4 Liuzhi/Kaili (B, L, D)
Continue to Kaili. Visit the Kaili Ethnic Minorities Museum (Qiandongnan Nationalities Museum) to have an overview of the ethnic costume in Guizhou. Hotel: Kaili Grand Dragon Hotel (4-star)
Day 5 Kaili/Qingman/Shiqiao/Xijiang (B, L, D)
Make an excursion to the Qingman, Shiqiao and Qianhu Miao villages. Stay overnight at a comfortable hotel in Xijiang.
-Qingman: a quiet village inhabited by the Mini-skirt Miao People.
- Shiqiao: an old village where you will see how the paper is hand-made in a traditional way.
- Qianhu Miao Village in Xijiang: the biggest Miao village of its kind in China, it has one thousand Miao Families, hence the name Qianhumiao Zhai (One-thousand-Household Miao Village).

Day 6 Xijiang/Leishan/Datang/Paika/Langde/Kaili (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will drive to Datang, a Miao village with an aquatic granary and the women's "mini skirt ". Visit the Paika village to see the facts about Lusheng - the Miao people's most important musical instrument. Take a short hike (40 minutes) from Paika to another Miao village. After lunch, a short drive along the Bala River will take us to the village of Langde - a real gem with traditional wooden houses and waterwheels. Hotel: Kaili Grand Dragon Hotel (4-star)

Day 7 Kaili/Taijiang/Shidong (B, L, D)
Drive to Matang Gejia Village to see batik and textiles exhibition. Pay a visit to the internationally known Shidong village in Taijiang. Hotel: Kaili Grand Dragon Hotel (4-star)

Day 8 Kaili/Danzhai/Sandu/Chejiang/Rongjiang (B, L, D)
Pay a visit to a minority market in Danzhai. Visit Shui people in Bameng on the way to Rongjiang, Visit Chejiang Dong village near Rongjiang. Evening stay in Rongjiang Power Hotel (best available)

Day 9 Rongjiang/Basha/Congjiang/Zhaoxing (B, L, D)
Visit a minority market in Rongjiang. Proceed to Basha Village, where the Miao people rarely venture out of the village except for selling firewood and shopping for daily necessities in markets, and both men and women can be seen in traditional costumes, wearing their hair long. Most men in Basha still keep a bun on their heads around it is shaved clean by sickles, which can be dated back to 2000 year ago. A 2-hour drive will take us to Zhaoxing, one of the largest Dong villages in the region, with more than 700 households and a population of 4000. We may see the drum tower in Gaozeng and roofed bridge in Longtu. Stay overnight in Zhaoxing Hotel (best available)

Day 10 Zhaoxing/Tang’an/Heli/Sanjiang (B, L, D)
Visit Tang'an Dong Village in the morning. After that, continue our journey travelling south into Sanjiang County of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, where we will visit the Heli Bridge, the Heli Sanwang Temple, and the Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge Scenic Area. Hotel: Sanjiang Hotel (3-star)

Day 11 Sanjiang/Ping’an (B, L, D)
In the morning, drive to Longsheng, where we will visit the Huangluo Yao Village and the Ping’an Village. In Huangluo and Ping’an villages where the mountains are covered with terraced rice fields, some of them reaching up to 1,000 m (3,300 ft) peaks. The fields are called Longji or Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces, which were built in 800 years ago by the Zhuang and Yao people. Hotel: Star Wish Hotel (best available)

Day 12 Ping’an/Guilin (B, L, D)
Drive to Guilin and pay a visit to Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin. Hotel: Bravo Hotel (4-star)

Day 13 Guilin/Yangshuo (B, L, D)
After breakfast, be picked up to the Zhujiang Pier, from there you will have a cruise down to Yangshuo (about 4-5hrs) along the beautiful Li River. Free in the afternoon. Hotel: Sovereign Hotel Yangshuo (4-star)

Day 14 Yangshuo (B, L, D)
Today you will enjoy a bamboo rafting along the beautiful Yulong River and get lost in the local villages with a bike.

Day 15 Yangshuo/Guilin  (B)
Be free until you are escorted to the airport for the flight to your next destination

    What is the best time to do your 15 day tour. It is from 15th February onwards to get all the festivals and the price please for one person. I am happy to go by local buses and trains and do not have to stay at 4/5 star hotels. thank you in advance
