Tour Overview
Visit Tibet in depth with a drive through the endless pastures, cross the more than 5,000-meter-high mountain passes to view the wold famous snow peaks and glaciers, explore the mysterious lamaseries, celestial burial site and the surprising beauty of lakes.

Day 1 Arrive in Lhasa (no meals)
Meet your guide and driver at the airport or train station. Balance of the day at leisure.

Day 2 Lhasa (B, L)
After breakfast, we'll admire the magnificent Potala Palace, the political center of combining religious with political rule in ancient Tibet, visit the famous Barkhor Street and the Tibet's oldest lamasery - Jokhang Temple.

Day 3 Lhasa/Nyingchi/Bayi (B, L, D)
Travel to Nyingchi via Maizhokunggar and Gongbo'gyamda. One the way, visit the Zhigong Ti Temple (Zhigongti Monastery ), which is the center temple of the Bri-gung Kagyu sect. Located on the mountain with other Kagyu temples, the temple was built by Bri-gung-pa rin-chendpal (1143~1217) in 1179, looks very sublime. Nearby the temple, there is a celestial burial site, where many vultures are waiting for the corpses. Continue to Nyingci along the beautiful Niyang River, it is said to be an aggregate of the plaintive tears of the holy mountains, drive through the Mila Pass (5013M asl) and stop over to take some pictures of the pristine Tibetan villages, forest, valleys and glaciers as you make your way to "Lesser Switzerland" – Nyingchi, also known as the “Throne Of The Sun" in Tibetan language.

Day 4 Bayi/Bomi (B, L, D)
Your first stop today is the Giant Cypress Forest. Among the big trees, you will see a "divine tree", which is over 2,500 years old. Then continue the exciting journey on to Bomi before passing through the huge canyons, forests, impressive snow mountains and glaciers.

Day 5 Bomi/Basu/Bomi (B, L, D)
Drive to Ranwu Lake, where you'll be stunned by its quiet and blue water, and varied scenery around the lakeside including snow mountains, woods, grassland, colorful pebbles, weed strip area and etc.. Later, proceed to view the Midui Glacier. Combined with the lakes, fields, villages and forest, this super natural wonder was listed one of the most beautiful Chinese glaciers by China National Geography.

Day 6 Bomi/Bayi (B, L, D)
Cross the Galongla Mountain and the Duoxiongla Pass. This section is known as the photo enthusiasts' paradise and the last fairyland on earth. Make a stop-over to explore the famous summer resort of the lamas - Galong Temple, then climb over Segila Mountain (4702M asl) to view the awesome beautiful Namjagabrwa Peak (7756M asl).

Day 7 Bayi/Nyingchi/Lhasa (B, L)
Drive through Niyang River Valley, where snowclad mountains, virgin forests and meadows provide a home for a variety of wildlife. Cross the Mila Pass (5230M asl), your journey continues through the picturesque Bajietang Grassland as you make your way back to Lhasa.

Day 8 Lhasa (B, L)
Today's excursion takes you to the Namtso Lake to enjoy the amazing view of the endless north Tibet plain and the snowclad Nyainqentanglha Mountains. Take a hot spring bath in Yangpachen before driving back to Lhasa.

Day 9 Lhasa/Exit (B)
Transfer to the Gonggar Airport for your departure flight.
