8-Day Essential Sichuan Tour

Tour Overview
Known for its Szechuan food, tea culture and the Mahjong games, Chengdu and its vicinity are extremely worth traveling. Panda reserve, Dinosaur Museum, Salt Industry Museum, wild monkey watching, famous Taoist mountain, ancient grottoes, temples, town and street...the tour has it all.

Day 1 Arrival/Chengdu (no meals)

Meet your local guide at the airport and then transfer to Yinhe Dynasty Hotel (4-star). The rest of the day is at your own leisure.

Day 2 Chengdu (B, L)

Today, you will trip to the Dufu's Thatched Roof Cottage and the Chengdu  Giant Panda Base.  Overnight at Yinhe Dynasty Hotel (4-star)

Tip: Sichuan hot pot is highly recommended for you dinner.

Day 3 Chengdu (B, L)

After breakfast, pay a visit to the Wuhou Temple and the cultural Jinli Old Street.  Make a free exploration of Chengdu on your own in the afternoon. Overnight at Yinhe Dynasty Hotel (4-star)

Tips: If you are interested in Chinese tea culture and Mahjong games, we suggest you pay a visit to the People's Park (free ticket) in the afternoon. In this quiet place, you can sit in the tea houses enjoy tea and see the local people how to play Mahjong games.

Day 4 Chengdu/Leshan/Mt. Emei (B, L)

Drive to Leshan to admire the world's largest stone Giant Buddha. Pay a visit to the nearby ancient Plank Cliff Path and the Stele Forest. Transfer to Emei Mountain.  Overnight at Phoenix Lake Hotel (4-star)

Day 5 Mt. Emei (B, L)

After breakfast, take the cable car to see the Wannian Temple and then visit the Qingyin Pavilion, the Baoguo Temple and the wild monkey protection region. Overnight at Phoenix Lake Hotel (4-star)

Day 6 Mt. Emei/Zigong/Dazu (B, L)

Drive to Zigong to visit the Zigong Dinosaur Museum and the Historical Museum of the Salt Industry. Transfer to Dazu and check into Dazu Hotel (3-star)

Day 7 Dazu/Chongqing (B, L)

Visit the Dazu Rock Carvings  and then transfer to Chongqing. Overnight at Wanyou Conifer Hotel (4-star)

Day 8 Chongqing/Departure (B, L)

Visit the Ciqikou Old Town in the morning. After lunch, be escorted to the airport for the flight to your next destination.
