Harbin Climate

Geographically, Harbin is located in Northeast China under the direct influence of the cold winter wind from Siberia. With a mean annual temperature of only 3.6℃, it enjoys a chilly winter and a cool summer. The average temperature in summer is 21.2 ℃,-16.8 ℃ in winter. It can be as cold as - 38.1 ℃ in winter so it is nicknamed "the Icy City of China" and "the North Pole of China".

The annual precipitation of Harbin is 360-746 mm. Rain mainly comes in summer and snow is active in winter. From December through January is the best time to visit the city as an icy world is presented during this period. It is also a good idea to visit the city in the July, August, and September to escape from the baking heat.  A skiing tour is a fantastic idea for the ice and snow world.
