Hillary Will Visit the Expo Site and The US Pavilion

"The Shanghai Expo will be the most thumping success in history," the current United States Ambassador to China, Jon Meade Huntsman, Jr. praised and gave thanks for the Chinese government's efforts on May 14 when the U.S. Department of State held a press conference to declare Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton will visit China. "The Shanghai Expo has attracted 192 countries and a great number of international organizations to participate. The Chinese government has made great endeavor to organize and promote this event."

Huntsman said on the conference more than 400,000 people have visited the U.S. pavilion up to May 13. He estimated that about 1 million will visit his country's pavilion monthly. He said the United States Secretary of State, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton will flight to China and visit the Expo site and the U.S. pavilion late in the month.

The Shanghai Expo was to open on May 1, and is scheduled to close on Oct. 31. The expo is the first time to be held in a developing country since it was held in 1851, in London. The Shanghai Expo is considered as the most biggest one in the history of the world expo. It is estimated that at least 70 million tourists visit the site through the course of its running.
