Impression Liu Sanjie

2009-11-10

Impression Liu Sanjie - A Chinese Folk Misical performed in natural scenic settings, is post-modern rendition of legendary "Third Sister Liu (Liu Sanjie)" in Yangshuo on Guilin travel tour. That is what is making a difference.

Impression Liu Sanjie, directed by Zhang Yimou who is world-renowned Chinese film director, is an outdoor scenic setting in Yangshuo County of Guilin City in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Zhang's idea, to perform a folk musical at a natural setting rather than in a theater, was inspired by the well-known musical film "Third Sister Liu" featuring a legendary singer and the local culture and customs of ethnic groups in Guangxi.

The performance is expected to succeed, as for such beautiful scenery in Yangshuo where boasts 54 percent of the water area of Li River, one of the country's most beautiful tourist destination. The scenery will change as the real settings change with the natural seasons.

The performance is a creative major social entrepreneurial project for the development of Yangshuo. It attracts the significant amount of tourists to the area and brings local people income. The performance will continue to be performed every one or two days after that. It will pay much attention to environmental protection and offer portable toilets at the venue.

The performance tickets costs from $20 to $80 anywhere. This is absolutely a world-class show - as someone said: "a masterpiece by the Creator and man."

The performance has applied to be entered in the Guinness Book of World Records for the bamboo buildings, which serve as the set, and for the real mountain-river setting theater, both claimed to be the world's largest.
