The Olympic sacred flame irradi.chinafacttours.com/travel_destinations/guide-to-lijiang-old-town.htmlated the moonlight city Shangri-La today (Jun 11th). The fire was started in the Shangri-La Ethnic Sports Centre and ended in the picturesque Pudatsuo National Park. It was relayed by 208 bearers who belong to 12 ethnic groups, and passed many top scenic spots such as the White Pagoda, Yila Grassland, Songzanlin Tibetan Buddhist Temple, Moonlight Square, Dukezong Town, and a number of famous historical roads, the line is totally about 40.36 kilometers?

Today, many wonderful performances added to the gaiety of the occasion. The ethnic folk dance & song performance, lion performance, dragon performance, equestrianism performance etc. have strongly reflected the minorities' taste of Yunnan.

The flame will be carried to the next destination—Yuanmo County, the cradle of the oriental human race, where the flame is only to be showed to the public not relayed. And the Olympic torch has been relayed in Kunming and Lijiang Old Town prior to begin its Shangri-La journey.

Note: Shangri-La is located in the northwest of Yunnan Province, China, about 659 km from the provincial capital city Kunming. It enjoys the reputation of "World Dreamlike Land", concertedly, things described in the Lost Horizon (by James Hilton) are found here. This land is endowed with many old legends, stunning snowcapped mountains, deep valleys, clear serene lakes by thick forests girdled about, mystic temples perch in mountains, and grasslands dotted with numerous sheep, yaks and horses.
