Sanjiang Transportation

Sanjiang is located at the juncture of Guangxi, Guizhou and Hunan. Tourists can choose the best way to get there.

Flight
There are no flights to Sanjiang. The best way to get there is take flight (or train) to Guilin or Liuzhou and then transfer to Sanjiang by bus.

Highway
Guilin-Longsheng-Sanjiang: This 160 kilometers' journey passes through beautiful terraced rice fields, rolling mountains and ethnical villages. It will take you about 4hrs-5hrs.

Lliuzhou-Sanjiang: the 200 kilometers' journey need about 4hrs drive. The road condition from Liuzhou to San Jiang is better than that of from Guilin to San Jiang.

Leaving Sanjiang, there are buses to Longsheng(2hrs), Guilin, Liuzhou, Wuzhou and Nanning from the south bus station; those for local villages, Congjiang (4.5hrs), Tongle, Zhaoxing and Liping (all in Guizhou Province) leave from north bus station. Minibuses to the train station, Mapang and Bajiang also leave from outside the north bus station.

Buses to Scenic Areas
Regular buses are available in Sanjiang (bus station) to the scenic areas like Chengyang Wind & Rain Bridge Scenic Area and Mapang Scenic area. Buses depart every forty minutes to Chengyang Village (aka Da Zhai). For Mapang Drum Tower, Bajiang and other smaller destinations, look for minibuses between the bus station and bridge, most of them leave while there are full of travelers.

Railway
Tourists can take train from Liuzhou, Zhanjiang (Guangdong Province), Huaihua (Hunan Province), or Xiangfan (Hubei Province) to Sanjiang. But the Sanjiang train station is quite distant outside the town and train travelers have to catch a bus into the town.
