White Water Raft Ride in Ziyuan

Wu Pai River is famed for its water, rocks, forests and cascades. It is located in Ziyuan County, 138 km from Guilin. The river is so beautiful and breathtaking that it is known as "the Kettle of the Yellow River in Guilin" and "the Tiger Leaping Gorge in Guilin". Since 2007, the river has become the drifters' heaven and three periods of International Drifting Festival have been held. Have a 30-km white water raft ride along the Wu Pai River, you will make a lot of "screams" and get great joy and stimulation.

Tips for Wu Pai River Drifting

1. The raft riding on the Wu Pai River is seasonal. The riding usually starts at April and ends at October. The best raft riding time is from June to September.

2. People with certain conditions such as heart disease, epilepsy and hypertension should not take a raft ride.

3. The disabled and the juvenile under 14 are not allowed to drift on the Wu Pai River.

4. The raft usually has two boatmen, submit yourself to their direction. Wear the lifejacket before boarding on the raft and hold the safety rope when riding. Don't swim in the river.

5. The drifting company will not rent their raft and make the raft ride until the drifters reach 5-8. The individual drifter had better join a China Fact Tours' drifting group.

6. Drifters can take a bus from Guilin to Ziyuan (2hrs) at the train station's square (in front of the train station) or at the Guilin Bus Station (very near the train station, if you start from the train station, turn left from there and follow your nose about 300m you will see a building and some people buy tickets there).
